After much brouhaha with UPS I was advised to contact Apple because they prefer to handle shipping issues for their customers.
As before, I got a human agent at Apple in less than a minute. He reviewed the case and immediately ordered a replacement to be built in China and shipped to me 2nd day air.
I asked if I could just go pick up a replacement at an Apple store. Apparently, that’s not an option.
So, hopefully I’ll have my MacBook Air early next week.
